Transcription Challenge

 Back to Masakowski again.  G Blues this time.  Years ago I lifted part of the chord solo (poorly) in the final chorus.  I always wanted to get back to the entire solo.  Some tricky double time passages in this one, but have seen some of these types of phrases in other solos.  That's the nice part of doing multiple solos from an artist.  An ok performance here, but probably could spend a few more days on some problem areas.  "I'll Pass" it on to you now... (oh..hahaha, my side).

 This is a solo I've wanted to do for a long time. Love the whole recording. Short solo but very melodic. Perfect really. I'm a bit off on a few parts but  will work on this more.  

Again Chet Baker....I know enough already....however I really like his motivic development and I have always been unable to really make a good solo over Stella. It is short so I played it down the octave then in thumb position. Attempt #1 Attempt #2  

  Piano never translates well to guitar, but this one comes close.   Had some octave shifts and even extraction of melody top line from comps to get it somewhat playable.  Also good to venture into the upper range of the instrument now and then.  Scary, cramped and claustrophobic place up there.   

 Finally got this up.  Love these Jim Hall duo recordings.  Especially like when Ron kicks in on the walking bass.  Nice contrast to the conversational approach earlier.  The balance of single-note lines and chordal melody is really something I aspire to.  What can I say, Jim freakin' Hall!

This is a great short solo. A few tricky spots still needed to finesse as well as putting it in thumb position but  works well in low range.  

 Not perfect by any stretch but on the correct path. Love how Larry phrases 8th notes and Triplets. Very rhythmic approach and accurate. Both of these areas I need work on.
